EU published new harmonized standards for 2009/48/EC

On 29 June 2013, The European Committee published commission communication 2013/C 187/09 about the new harmonised standards for Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC on the EU Official Journal (OJ). This means that compliance with such harmonised standards gives presumption of compliance with toy directive.

Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC first publish the Reference and title for below harmonised standards:
- EN 71-3:2013 Safety of toys - Part 3: Migration of certain elements
  - EN 71-5:2013 Safety of toys - Part 5: Chemical toys (sets) other than experimental sets
  - EN 71-12:2013 Safety of toys - Part 12: N-Nitrosamines and N-nitrosatable substances
  - EN 62115:2005/A11:2012/AC:2013 Electric toys - Safety
