EU Restrict Three Flame Retardants and BPA in Certain Toys

In June 2014, Directive 2014/79/EU and 2014/81/EU was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), amending Appendix C of Annex II to Directive 2009/48/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the safety of toys, as regard of three flame retardants and BPA. Member States shall adopt and publish, by 21 December 2015 at the latest, the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with this Directive. They shall apply those provisions from 21 December 2015.

Appendix C of Annex II to Directive 2009/48/EC is replaced by the following:
